This application code covers three exemptions for lead (Pb) CAS# 7439-92-1 as an alloying element in aluminum alloys. The maximum amount of Pb allowed in any aluminum alloy that uses Code 71 is 2%. Your material contains more than 2% Pb. You cannot use Code 71 for the Pb in this material.
